NCAA Division II has partnered with the Make-A-Wish organization for several years now, raising money through grassroots fundraising efforts to support the granting of wishes to children dealing with life-threatening illnesses.
Make-A-Wish is a special organization, and a cause definitely worth supporting. In a later blog post I will share some of my personal experience as a Make-A-Wish volunteer Wish Granter, and how it has impacted my life. But first I want to highlight a series that ESPN produces in concert with Make-A-Wish, called “My Wish”. In it wishes to meet famous athletes like Lebron James, DeSean Jackson, and Kyle Busch (among many others) are granted.
