PBC Internship

My name is Kyah Owusu and I am the new intern for the Peach Belt Conference. I’m from Atlanta, Ga and went to Locust Grove High School. There, I played everything I could possibly do. I was very athletic and active. I was on the Varsity Basketball team my freshman year, as well as, the Track and Field team. It wasn’t until my junior year that I decided to run cross country and in those moments I had no idea it would led me to where I am today.

Choosing to run cross country gave me the opportunity to run collegiality at the University of South Carolina Aiken. I am proud to be a Pacer, so I may be a little biased that my school is the best! For the last three years I’ve been on the cross country team and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it. Being on the team gave me the opportunity to meet some of my best friends and allowed me to visit and travel to different schools. I recently switched my major from Exercise and Sports Science to Communications. I plan on using my degree towards event planning, advertising, or something sports related. I know it sounds like I’m all over the place, however, now that I have made this change I couldn’t have been more happy with my decision because it has led me to an awesome opportunity to work with the Peach Belt Conference. I look forward to meeting all the people that are apart of this conference and most importantly gaining new skills and being able to experience as much as possible.
